Denis Keeran, who was authorized to carry a firearm under Florida’s Guardian Program, was allegedly holding his phone at his side near his upper thigh while taking the photographs, according to the New Smyrna Beach Police Department. Investigators said no criminal images of students were found on the device. They did, however, report finding five videos depicting adults engaging in sexual activity with horses. Keeran was charged with four counts of animal cruelty related to possession of the videos. The Guardian Program, created after the 2018 Parkland school shooting, permits trained teachers and other adults to carry guns on school grounds.
