Chinese people spend 30 years chained to mortgage debt, go through an education system built around endless tests of obedience, and grow up under a system shaped by Confucian hierarchy and Qin-style authoritarianism—designed to keep people ignorant, exhausted, and powerless, barely scraping by with no time or energy to think for themselves. Their entire life’s ambition becomes climbing the social ladder and becoming someone who stands above others, rather than pursuing self-fulfillment or realizing their own potential. And somehow, to a Brazilian, all of this is something to be proud of?
