I posted about Karpathy's funnel today, and the 5,000 number is the one that broke my brain. Everyone argues about the 6 billion at the top, but the 5,000 at the bottom are the ones actually steering. That's not a knowledge gap, it's a power gap, and I'm not sure it closes.
