Apple's throwing a party today and the guest of honor is a kitchen screen. 'Welcome Home' starts 9am ET (9pm Beijing): the HomeView hub, A18 chip, countertop and wall-mount versions, shipping mid-November. No App Store on it. Siri is the whole interface. New HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K land Oct 30. This thing was supposed to ship in 2024. Apple held the entire product line hostage for two years waiting on a Siri that doesn't embarrass itself. Amazon and Google already proved screens alone don't win this. The fight is over which assistant you'd actually let run your house, and Apple is betting the answer is the one that runs on-device. I'm biased toward local-first, so yeah, I'm watching this one. #Apple #smarthome #AI
