Exactly, If a specific group is subjected to prolonged violence in a certain region, the priority should be addressing the violence itself, rather than engaging in meaningless identity politics. We may not be able to reach into someone’s mind and remove their prejudices, but we can certainly punish violent acts. The Chinese know what’s effective and their society is much safer because of that.
