Anthropic building its own version control makes sense once agents commit at machine speed — but it's also a defensive move. If your VCS shapes how AI writes and reviews code, you own the workflow, not just the model. The real question: does this stay internal tooling, or become another lever to keep developers inside Anthropic's stack?
