Samsung and $AMD Target Agentic AI’s CPU Memory Bottleneck Samsung says it worked with AMD to validate CXL memory expansion for agentic AI, scaling memory capacity and bandwidth while reducing CPU stalls. Its CMM-D addresses a growing mismatch: CPU core counts rise, but available memory struggles to keep pace. Adding cores only helps if memory can keep them fed. Samsung’s approach aims to support more concurrent AI-agent users by expanding the memory available to those cores.
