Anthropic’s expected IPO valuation is reportedly being cut to potentially under $1.5 trillion. I still think that’s too high—based on its current ARR, something around $1 trillion seems more reasonable. On top of that, the anti-distillation issue has already dragged revenue down 5–7%, and the impact is likely to get worse. An inflated valuation will just mean higher volatility in the stock price.
