$LITE Lumentum put the same laser question on its own OCP slide: "NVIDIA announced CPO-based Spectrum-X / Quantum-X switches using ELS." The external laser source is the part Meta's 1.8 million-hour test pointed to, and Lumentum's pitch is a light source built on more than 20 years of shipping high-power pump lasers. Its slide lists more than 350 mW at 50°C, above 20% power conversion efficiency at 50°C, and under 500 kHz linewidth from 150 to 400 mW. Asked about the super-high-power class, Christian Urricariet, Lumentum's senior director of product and strategic marketing, said 800 mW off the facet. Next checkpoint is which laser vendors qualify into Meta's 102.4T switch.
