Bloomberg Oct 15: on the $TSM earnings call, CEO C.C. Wei said talks with Elon Musk's Texas Terafab are still open, but any fab in that setup has to be run by TSMC. Musk said last week his side would build and run Terafab, and that TSMC would at most lease capacity. No volume, pricing, or structure beyond confirming talks. Same Bloomberg piece notes $INTC is helping Musk's group with the tech that would go inside. Who runs the line owns process and capex risk. Next thing to watch is a binding term sheet, or either side walking the control line back.
