Imagine one day Physical AI finally solves its hardest problem: moving VC money faster than robots can move objects. 🤣 In Silicon Valley, two Stanford dropouts, ex-OpenAI and ex-Tesla, show a robot completing 117 kitchen tasks. The pitch is World Models + VLA + Action Tokenization. VCs call it the future of physical intelligence. Meanwhile, in Beijing's Wudaokou, a Tsinghua Yao Class founder and a PKU Turing Class founder show a robot moving a water bottle from one side of a table to the other. Six investors give a standing ovation. The valuation gets an extra 50% Qingbei synergy bonus before the model even finishes training. Ask either side about revenue, and everyone suddenly agrees that embodied AI cannot be evaluated using traditional SaaS metrics. Ask about valuation, though, and apparently scaling laws work perfectly. We used to worry about the sim-to-real gap. Now I'm more concerned about the demo-to-revenue gap. At least the PPT-to-valuation pipeline has already reached SOTA. 🤣
