Claude Code has a --advisor flag in the docs that never shows up in claude --help. Usage: claude --advisor opus Run the cheap model for everyday coding. Only call Opus when you hit a hard decision, keep looping on the same error, or need to ask whether the job is actually done. That money switch is buried in the documentation. Over a full day of agent work, the bill gap is real.
