President Trump’s decision to waive new sanctions on Russia is a despicable and disgraceful betrayal of the brave people of Ukraine, our European allies, and American values. As Ukrainians fight and die defending their freedom, Trump is throwing an economic lifeline to the dictator invading their country. Generations of American heroes who fought and sacrificed to defend freedom against tyranny are rolling in their graves. We dishonor their sacrifice when our president rewards aggression and abandons those fighting for the values we claim to cherish. Every patriotic American should condemn this disgrace.
