My impression of Poland has always been one word: steady. Safe streets, a strong sense of order, and one of the fastest-growing economies in Europe over the past few years. Tight border control is part of why that stability holds, and I get that. I wouldn't put it the way he does in this clip, but I understand the instinct to protect social order. What I find more interesting is the long-term question. Poland's real challenge may not be who's coming, but who's going to do the work. The population is aging, young people head west, and factories, logistics and construction are short of hands. A big part of that gap has been filled by workers from Ukraine and Asia. Guarding the border and needing outside labor have to be managed at the same time. Taiwan is on the same road: low birth rates, labor shortages, growing reliance on migrant workers. I'm curious how Poland strikes that balance. Staying secure is one thing; staying staffed is another.
