Open-sourcing the inference stack is a bigger deal than open-sourcing another model weights drop. If DeepInfer really sustains the throughput they claim, it puts pricing pressure on every inference provider, not just open-weight competitors. The catch is that reproducing their numbers outside DeepSeek's own cluster is the hard part — kernels, networking, and ops discipline don't copy-paste as easily as code.
