The classic LLM-era playbook: a few early employees leave Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek or Kimi, say they'll train a model, and nine figures show up. That's FOMO, not conviction. Call it a bubble if you want, though next to Hugging Face or Fei-Fei Li's World Labs, a $4.5B seed is the small end. Great story. My bet: the day Fable 6 or Astra 7 ships, a "collaboration model" built on an open-source base gets rolled over. Labs ship features. Startups need to own an outcome.
