Huge thanks to the 20+ contributors in our project group for giving this their all. After a month and a half of work, we finally have complete interactive systems across all three architectures: full-duplex, turn-based half-duplex, and cascaded systems. All three deliver smooth streaming experiences, responsive interruption handling, and strong conversational intelligence. Building interactive model systems that enable interactive intelligence was the original motivation behind SGLang Omni. But for a long time, limitations in open-source models and gaps in the surrounding technology made it difficult for us to make meaningful progress. Then, three months ago, I was fortunate to connect with some outstanding researchers, and we quickly got moving. After an intense stretch of heads-down development, we’re finally excited to share what we’ve built. More to come. Check out our blog!
