$SOXX $SMH $QQQ $LRCX $META $NVDA THE 10-YEAR SLIPPED UNDER 5% AND CHIPS FELL ANOTHER 6%. WALL STREET IS PRICING A FUNDING SCARE INTO COMPANIES WITH FULL ORDER BOOKS The 10-year Treasury yield touched 4.99% this morning, its first trip below 5% since Sept. 22. That's down 15 basis points on the day and 31 from its Oct. 5 high. The PHLX Semiconductor Index is down almost 6% today and 18% from its Oct. 6 peak. Lower yields are supposed to help long-duration tech, but for three weeks bonds and chips have been falling together. Today's trigger was money. Jensen Huang told CNBC that demand for neoclouds is "off the charts" and that capital is scarce, and the market only heard the second half. Meta ($META) beat on revenue and guided higher, then slid 5% after its comments on how much AI funding it still needs. Oil rose on a New York Times report of renewed strike plans against Iran, and cash ran to Treasuries and to staples, with $XLP up 2.5%. Lam Research ($LRCX) is the cleanest example. It booked $8.22B of revenue last quarter, up 22% from June, guided December to $8.60B and said supply constraints held the guide back. The stock is down 10%.
