THE HUNTER BECOMES A MINER!!! 🤣🔥 After defeating Kushala Daora… And eventually completing my entire Kushala armor set… I was feeling pretty powerful! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I'd defeated an Elder Dragon! I'd overcome its annoying wind barrier! And I'd even returned with melee weapons to bully the very monster that had once made my life miserable! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL REVENGE!!! 🔨🐉 But now? It was time to continue my adventure. A new region was waiting for me. A dangerous land filled with molten lava, scorching temperatures, and powerful monsters. THE VOLCANO!!! 🌋🔥 And naturally, you might expect me to immediately start hunting some terrifying new creature. Well… NOPE!!! 🌚 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Because the moment I arrived… I discovered something far more interesting. MINING SPOTS!!! ⛏️💎 AND LOTS OF THEM!!! 🌋 WELCOME TO THE VOLCANO!!! The first thing I noticed was the environment. Lava! Rocks! Smoke! Heat everywhere! IT WAS SO HOT!!! 🥵 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! After spending so much time in the snowy mountains, this was quite a change. Previously, I needed Hot Drinks to survive the freezing temperatures. Now? COLD DRINKS!!! 🧊 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Monster Hunter 2 really loved making me drink things. Desert? Cold Drink! Freezing cave? Hot Drink! Snowy mountain? Hot Drink! Volcano? COLD DRINK AGAIN!!! 🤣🤣🤣 At this point, I was starting to wonder whether I was playing Monster Hunter… Or some kind of beverage management simulator. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! But then I noticed something wonderful. Something that immediately caught my attention. ORE!!! SO MUCH ORE!!! 💎 ⛏️ WAIT… THERE'S MINING HERE?! Of course there was! And not just a little. There were mining spots scattered throughout the volcanic region! And that meant… MATERIALS!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Iron Ore! Machalite Ore! Firestone! And other valuable minerals! Suddenly, my priorities changed. I had entered the volcano as a monster hunter. But within minutes… I HAD BECOME A PROFESSIONAL MINER!!! ⛏️🤣 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Forget the monsters! Forget the dangerous volcanic creatures! Forget the glorious battles! WHERE ARE THE MINING SPOTS?! I WANT ALL THE ORE!!! 🤣🤣🤣 💎 THE GREAT VOLCANIC MINING OPERATION!!! And so began my new career. Pickaxe ready! Inventory prepared! Time to explore! CLANG!!! Ore! CLANG!!! More ore! CLANG!!! EVEN MORE ORE!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I'd run from one mining spot to another. Search the volcanic landscape. Find another place to mine. And immediately start swinging! CLANG!!! CLANG!!! CLANG!!! "YES!!!" "MORE MATERIALS!!!" "KEEP THEM COMING!!!" 🤣🤣🤣 And the funniest part? I wasn't even particularly interested in fighting monsters at that moment. I was too busy collecting resources! MONSTER HUNTER? NO!!! MONSTER MINER!!! 🌚⛏️ HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 🧊 AND THEN I DISCOVERED THE FREE COLD DRINKS!!! Now here's another important detail. In Monster Hunter 2, quests could provide supplies for hunters. And some volcanic quests included… FREE COLD DRINKS!!! 🧊 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! FREE!!! YOU MEAN I DON'T HAVE TO MAKE ALL OF THEM MYSELF?! OH!!! THIS IS WONDERFUL!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Because Cold Drinks were extremely useful in hot environments. And I already knew how annoying it could be to run out of temperature-protection items. Remember the desert? Remember those freezing caves? Remember all the time I'd spent gathering and preparing supplies? Well… I WASN'T GOING TO LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN!!! So whenever I had the opportunity to collect extra Cold Drinks from quest supplies… I TOOK THEM!!! 🌚 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 🎒 THE HUNTER'S MOST IMPORTANT SKILL: TAKING FREE STUFF!!! Imagine this. I accept a quest. Open the supply box. And there they are. COLD DRINKS!!! Me: "Oh?" "Free supplies?" "Don't mind if I do!!!" 🤣🤣🤣 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Then I'd head into the volcano. Mine as much as possible. Complete my activities. Return to the village. And organize my growing collection of materials and supplies. Then? DO IT AGAIN!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Another quest! More mining! There was something incredibly satisfying about watching my supplies grow. Every mining trip meant more materials. Every collected resource meant more options for future equipment. And every extra Cold Drink meant one less thing I'd need to worry about preparing later. My routine had become beautifully simple. ACCEPT QUEST!!! COLLECT USEFUL SUPPLIES!!! EXPLORE THE VOLCANO!!! MINE EVERYTHING!!! RETURN WITH MATERIALS!!! REPEAT!!! 🤣🤣🤣 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Over and over again! I wasn't rushing to challenge the strongest monster. I wasn't desperately trying to unlock the next piece of equipment. I was simply enjoying the process of gathering resources. And making sure I had plenty of supplies for whatever came next. PREPARATION IS IMPORTANT!!! AND FREE STUFF IS EVEN BETTER!!! 🌚 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 🛠️ WHY DID I WANT SO MUCH ORE?! Well, if you've played Monster Hunter, you already know. EQUIPMENT!!! Weapons! Armor! Upgrades! Crafting! So many things required materials! And I'd already experienced how frustrating it could be to discover that I was missing something important. Remember the Blangonga? I wanted the complete armor set. But that meant repeatedly hunting for specific materials. Remember Kushala Daora? I needed more and more materials to complete its armor. And remember how often I had to prepare ammunition, traps, and other supplies for difficult hunts? Well… I'd learned something. HAVING RESOURCES AVAILABLE MAKES LIFE EASIER!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! So when I discovered a region filled with valuable minerals… My reaction was obvious. MINE FIRST!!! ASK QUESTIONS LATER!!! ⛏️🤣 🐱 A VERY DIFFERENT KIND OF ADVENTURE Looking back, this chapter is actually quite funny. Because my previous adventures had been filled with dramatic battles. The Yian Kut-Ku had tormented me for nearly a month. The Plesioth had introduced me to fourth-dimensional hip checks. The Shogun Ceanataur had repeatedly defeated me by running away until time expired. The Kirin had electrocuted me so badly that I resorted to hiding inside a tiny cave with a Heavy Bowgun. And Kushala Daora? That Steel Dragon had forced me to develop an entire Flash Bomb strategy! But now? After all those difficult battles… I WAS JUST HAPPILY SWINGING A PICKAXE!!! ⛏️❤️ HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! No legendary duel. No desperate struggle. No complicated strategy. Just me… A volcano… And an unreasonable desire to collect every mineral I could find. CLANG!!! CLANG!!! CLANG!!! 🤣🤣🤣 🌚 THE MONSTERS MUST HAVE BEEN CONFUSED! I can almost imagine the volcanic monsters watching me. MONSTER: "A hunter has entered our territory!" MONSTER: "Prepare for battle!" MONSTER: "He must be here to challenge us!" Meanwhile… Me: CLANG!!! ⛏️ "OOOH!!! MORE ORE!!!" HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! MONSTER: "…?" MONSTER: "Is he going to attack?" Me: CLANG!!! "YES!!! ANOTHER MINING SPOT!!!" MONSTER: "HELLO?!" MONSTER: "WE'RE RIGHT HERE!!!" Me: "SORRY!!! BUSY!!!" 🌚🤣 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I didn't come here to fight you! I came here to collect resources! PLEASE RESPECT MY NEW CAREER!!! 🧠 NOT EVERY ADVENTURE NEEDS A BOSS FIGHT And honestly, I think this is another reason why I enjoyed Monster Hunter 2 so much. The game wasn't only about defeating powerful monsters. Sometimes, the most enjoyable moments came from the quieter activities. Exploring new environments. Discovering gathering locations. Collecting useful materials. Preparing equipment. And slowly building up your inventory. Because every resource you gathered could become useful later. A mineral might help you craft a weapon. A collection of materials might let you complete an armor upgrade. And a supply of Cold Drinks could make future trips into hot environments much more convenient. THE HUNT DIDN'T BEGIN WHEN I ENCOUNTERED A MONSTER. IT BEGAN WHEN I STARTED PREPARING FOR THE NEXT ONE!!! And in the volcano? Preparation meant… MINING!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF MINING!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 🤣 🏆 THE GREAT VOLCANIC MINER!!! Eventually, I had accumulated a wonderful collection of minerals and useful supplies. And I was extremely satisfied. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! My equipment options were expanding. My stockpile was growing. And I was becoming increasingly comfortable exploring the volcanic region. Was I the strongest hunter in the world? Probably not. Was I the bravest? Well… Considering what happened with the Kirin's dog hole… LET'S NOT DISCUSS THAT!!! 🌚🤣 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! But was I becoming an excellent resource collector? ABSOLUTELY!!! And sometimes… That's exactly what a hunter needs to be. 🔥 BUT THE VOLCANO WASN'T JUST A MINING SITE… Of course, there was one small detail I couldn't ignore forever. THE VOLCANO HAD MONSTERS!!! 🌋🐉 And some of them were extremely dangerous. There were creatures adapted to the scorching environment. Monsters with tough armor. Powerful attacks. And abilities that could make future hunts very unpleasant. But for now? I was perfectly happy to postpone those problems. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Because I still had one very important task to complete. ONE MORE MINING TRIP!!! Just one! I promise! Well… Maybe two. Or three. Or ten. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 🤣🤣🤣 ❤️ ANOTHER UNFORGETTABLE MEMORY Looking back at my Monster Hunter 2 journey, I remember so many difficult battles. But I also remember these strange little moments. The excitement of discovering a new map. The satisfaction of finding valuable resources. The joy of seeing my item box gradually fill up. And the ridiculous happiness of collecting free supplies from quests. It's funny. I'd just finished defeating a legendary Elder Dragon. And now? I WAS GETTING EXCITED ABOUT ROCKS!!! 💎 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! But that's part of what made the adventure memorable. Sometimes I was a hammer-wielding warrior. Sometimes I was a Light Bowgun specialist. Sometimes I was a shameless cave camper.
