$MU $SKHY $SNDK $NVDA SK just put a number on AI demand: $350 billion for data centers in Korea. SK Hyper, SK Group's data center arm, is in talks with big tech and financial investors to fund it, per Bloomberg. Target is 15GW in Korea by 2035. First outside money by end of this year or early 2027. A 900MW project in Ulsan. First data center done in 2029. 2029. That's the exact year a Korean column on Oct 15 said memory turns into a "red ocean" and the supercycle ends. Memory stocks have been dumped on that story for two weeks. Then Jensen at GTC Berlin yesterday, to CNBC: he sees no sign of a 2029 glut. "You can always use more of it." HBM stays in use for years, and Nvidia will keep putting LPDDR, the memory in your phone, into data centers in "abundant amounts." Jensen is the biggest HBM buyer on the planet, so read that as the buyer talking. Fine. But the same group that makes a huge share of the world's HBM is now out raising money to build 15GW of new demand on its own soil. Both ends of the trade are saying the same thing. The 2029 glut call is early!
