Stop asking AI to write. Start asking it to edit. I write ~17 posts a day for this account. For months I asked the model to draft them from zero. Every one came back sounding like a press release — same rhythm, same polish, zero me in it. Then I flipped the job. Now I write the ugly first draft myself — too long, messy, but mine. The model only gets to edit. Copy this. Paste it above your draft: EDIT, don't rewrite. My draft is below. 1. Cut ~30% of the words. Keep every number, name, and concrete detail. 2. Delete the throat-clearing: no intro paragraph, no "in summary", no "here's your draft". 3. Keep my sentences. Fix only what's actually broken. Three rules. The model can't flatten a voice it isn't allowed to rewrite. Why it works: writing from zero is high-variance — the model guesses your voice and misses. Editing is constrained — your facts, your structure, your rhythm survive. Researchers call it iterative refinement; a 2023 paper showed it beating one-shot generation across seven tasks. I just call it bringing your own clay. Try it on the next thing you were about to ask AI to "write". One pass and you'll feel the difference. Fellow AI builders — follow for more. I bet 90% of people still ask for first drafts and rewrite them anyway. What's the last thing you had AI edit instead of write? 👇 🔵 Fellow Premium members, let's connect!
