I so appreciate how good Rafayel is with kids and how that part of him is written he’ll act all bothered and complain about the “wobbly kiddie scribbles,” just to immediately start looking for frames and clear wall space to keep every single one 😭 he’ll never admit how huge his soft spot for little ones is, but they always know. there’s a reason they see him as their kind gege and feel safe around him but it goes deeper than those little sweet moments. in ignited echoes, we’re invited into another side of his life, standing beside him as he deals with the darkness that follows the lemurians, including the youngest and most innocent among them when a child had been imprisoned and abused, all that mattered was getting him out of there and back to safety. Rafayel trusted mc with bringing Vaughn home, and even then, what weighed on him was that he had involved her in something so dark in the first place he protects children from cruelty, he doesn’t make them witnesses to it. he wants them taken out of that darkness, never made part of it and then there’s Aiden looking up to him so much 🥹 he really is the kind of man children instinctively adore and trust. he is a god but they prefer to call him gege, there is no distance, no lessons, just warmth their beloved 祁煜哥哥 who might complain and tease the whole time, but will always be gentle with them when it matters most 🤍
