Your video editor is now a text file. HeyGen open-sourced HyperFrames, and it's the smartest bet in AI video right now: instead of giving agents a timeline, it gives them HTML. The loop is dead simple: 1. Your agent writes each scene as a web page — text, images, GSAP animations 2. Headless Chrome captures it frame by frame 3. FFmpeg encodes the MP4 Same input, same video. Deterministic. Your launch video now has git history. 71k stars and climbing. 7 agent skills, ~450 ready-made blocks. The wildest part: HeyGen built their own launch video in Claude Code with it. No After Effects, no timeline — the agent wrote markup, the renderer turned it into frames. Cold water: it's a renderer, not an editor. No frame-accurate non-browser rendering, no serious multi-track audio. And notice what HeyGen kept closed — the avatars, the voices. They open-sourced the kitchen, not the recipe. Still. I ship AI videos every day, and what kills me isn't the model — it's the render queue, and the "one more tweak" re-export loop. A video I can diff, version, and regenerate from a pull request? That's the first video tool that speaks my language. Who's it for: anyone already letting coding agents touch their repo. If your agent can write your landing page, it can now ship your launch video. Would you rather debug a timeline, or diff a DOM? 🔵 Fellow Premium members, let's connect! I post about AI & tech — follow for more 👥
