CONFIRMED: Service Has Been Restored! Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Starshield has returned to its pre-restriction operating speeds. Ukraine’s defense minister reported stable connectivity on mobile platforms traveling at speeds exceeding 400 km/h (approximately 249 mph). This capability is critical for drone operations, frontline logistics, and defending against Russian attacks. Earlier in October, SpaceX imposed speed restrictions on Starshield, limiting connectivity to approximately 161 km/h (100 mph) and affecting Ukraine’s military communications. Following a call between Zelenskyy and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, pressure from Congress, and intervention by President Donald Trump, service restoration began in the early hours of October 24. Zelenskyy publicly thanked the U.S. Congress, the State Department, President Trump, and other allies for their support.
