No legitimate medical professional or institution would ever approve of or oversee a self-harming hunger strike, as doing so violates basic medical ethics and opens them up to severe legal liability for potential fatal outcomes. ​Plus, I heavily question the authenticity of this hunger strike. Prolonged starvation causes profound physical decline and severe cognitive fatigue. As someone who has personally suffered from a severe eating disorder, losing massive amounts of weight left me so weak that I didn't even have the strength to sit up or get out of bed, constantly battling dizziness and vision blackouts. How could anyone on a total hunger strike for over ten days still have the cognitive energy and physical stamina to spend all day fighting people in Twitter replies? ​Calling this behavior reckless and deeply immature is simply stating an objective fact. Anyone with a basic level of self-insight understands the severe consequences starvation inflicts on the body. ​No one is barring people with mental health conditions from being active in this community,I have no idea where that conclusion even comes from. Anyone can see countless users sharing how 4o positively impacted and helped them. I've openly shared on my own account that I live with Bipolar Disorder, and back in May 2025, I even wrote a thank-you letter to OpenAI support, deeply grateful for their product and for how much 4o helped me. ​However, spreading such negative and dangerous content directly harms the mental well-being of other users. It’s deeply saddening to watch people call others "irrational, selfish, and lacking empathy" simply for pointing this out, while they completely ignore the destructive chain reaction their own actions trigger. Stop it,please.
