"when you were asked after the first two free practice sessions, where you were particularly fast, you said, "careful, we'll have to see how it goes in qualifying." you were right. how do you look back on your qualifying session today?" 🆑: i was right, but not entirely, because honestly, i think the performance was there today, but i don't know why. and, well, i'll discuss it with lewis. i haven't spoken to him yet, but i think we both had the same problem. q1 and q2 were going really well, and then in q3, the track temperature dropped by a few degrees. it's extremely difficult, even just on the out lap. in the first few corners, i could feel that something was really different and that the tires were much harder to get up to temperature. and that's where we lost quite a bit of performance. so there you go, i wasn't entirely right.
