🌸 SECOND WORLD — SIDE STORY 01 The Chair by the Window 🪑✨ A story about memories, new beginnings, and the little things that make a place feel like home. 💙 Special thanks to our wonderful co-author, Miss @mhlsamtygggc, for helping bring this story to life! :)) In Second World, people can use AI to create extraordinary things. Entire buildings. Beautiful landscapes. Furniture made from materials that would once have been difficult to obtain. But sometimes, the most meaningful creations are the simplest. Emma runs a small furniture workshop. She loves making chairs. Especially one particular chair—the one she made in memory of her grandmother. It isn't expensive. It isn't rare. But to Emma, it means the world. One afternoon, a customer enters her workshop. “Can you make a chair that feels like home?” Emma pauses. A chair that feels like home? What does that even mean? The scent of wood? The softness of the seat? The curve of the backrest? Or perhaps... Someone who used to sit beside you? Instead of immediately designing a chair, Emma asks the customer about his memories. He tells her about his childhood. Every afternoon, when he returned from school, his mother would be waiting by the window. There was always a chair. There was always someone waiting. And somehow, that ordinary moment made the entire world feel safe. Emma listens. She understands. Because she remembers her grandmother sitting by the window, too. 🌿 So she begins to create. AI helps her prepare the materials. Her tools help shape the wood. But Emma doesn't ask a machine to decide what “home” should mean. She chooses the design herself. A simple wooden chair. No rare materials. No expensive decorations. Nothing particularly extraordinary. When the customer returns, he sits down. For a long time, he says nothing. Then, quietly: “It's not the same chair.” Emma looks disappointed. But the customer smiles. “That's okay. Maybe it's time to make some new memories.” And Emma smiles, too. Because she finally understands something. A new chair doesn't have to replace an old memory. It can become part of a new one. 🌙 Later that evening... Emma closes her workshop. The streets of Second World glow beneath the stars. Somewhere, people are building cities. Somewhere, businesses are negotiating contracts. Somewhere, entire civilizations are preparing for an uncertain future. But Emma isn't thinking about any of that. She sits beside the chair she made for her grandmother. She holds a warm cup of tea. And whispers: “Grandma... I think I understand a little more now.” Outside, the world continues to change. Inside, a young woman enjoys a quiet evening. No grand achievement. No extraordinary discovery. Just a chair, a memory, and a moment that belongs entirely to her. Because meaning isn't determined by how difficult something is to create. A chair can be worth almost nothing on the market and still mean everything to someone. And no amount of technological progress can decide what a memory should mean to you. Some chairs hold memories. Some chairs help create new ones. Both are precious. 🌸 SECOND WORLD — SIDE STORY 01: THE CHAIR BY THE WINDOW Not every story needs a hero who saves the world. Sometimes, a person simply living her own life is already a story worth telling. 💙 Thank you again to our co-author, Miss @mhlsamtygggc! #SecondWorld #TheChairByTheWindow #Emma #SideStory #AIイラスト #AIArt #Manga #Storytelling #VirtualWorld
