1/ Industry Perspective | Web3 Needs Privacy, Not Just Transparency š For years, transparency has been one of blockchainās biggest selling points. Every transaction can be tracked. Every movement of funds can be verified. Anyone can inspect the data and analyze what is happening on-chain. But thereās another side to this story that deserves more attention. Is complete financial transparency always a good thing? Imagine running a business where competitors can monitor your treasury movements. Imagine managing a large portfolio while your positions, transaction patterns, and financial strategies remain visible to anyone watching the blockchain. Transparency builds trust, but unlimited exposure can create real challenges for individuals, businesses, and institutions. This is why I think privacy will become one of the most important narratives in the next phase of Web3. And itās one of the reasons @primus_labs deserves attention. Primus is working on privacy-preserving infrastructure that combines verifiable data technologies like zkTLS with advanced cryptography such as Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). The bigger idea is simple: users should be able to prove what needs to be proven without unnecessarily exposing everything behind that proof. That distinction matters. We don't need to choose between a completely opaque financial system and one where every detail is public. There is room for a better model ā one that preserves accountability while giving users more control over sensitive information. As on-chain finance expands into payments, asset management, and institutional use cases, privacy won't just be a nice feature. It could become a fundamental part of the infrastructure. The next stage of blockchain adoption may depend not only on how much information we can make public, but also on how intelligently we protect it. Transparency should build trust. Privacy should protect users. Web3 needs both. Keeping an eye on what @primus_labs builds next. #PrimusLabs #Web3Privacy #OnchainFinance
