#Personal View｜China-Türkiye Civilization Dialogue From my personal perspective, China and Türkiye, standing at the east and west ends of Eurasia, share a profound millennial bond forged by the ancient Silk Road. For thousands of years, continuous trade, cultural integration and artistic exchange have linked our two ancient civilizations. The numerous Chinese porcelain collections in Istanbul’s Topkapı Palace stand as timeless testimony of our long-standing friendship and cross-civilizational integration. Both nations experienced modern historical turbulence and pursued national rejuvenation, granting us sincere mutual understanding and emotional resonance. Every civilization possesses unique historical value with no hierarchy of superiority. Chinese civilization features unbroken heritage and independent innovation, while Anatolian civilization serves as a magnificent crossroads integrating Eastern and Western traditions. We contribute to Eurasian progress in different yet equally honorable ways. For rational dialogue, a vital historical truth must be clarified. Modern political Pan‑Turkism is entirely different from ancient Turkic tribal history and ordinary Turkic linguistic families. The so-called “East Turkistan” is a completely fabricated political fallacy created by separatist and extremist forces, with no legitimate historical, geographical or academic foundation whatsoever. These malicious forces deliberately distort ancient Eurasian ethnic interactions, abuse historical discourse, advocate separatism, and collude with terrorism and extremism to damage China’s national unity, undermine regional stability, and poison China‑Türkiye civilian friendship. Such false narratives cannot be recognized in serious historical discussion. True Silk Road spirit lies in mutual respect, sovereignty integrity, and sincere inter-civilizational learning. Under the coordination of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Middle Corridor, we should reject divisive political manipulation, uphold historical facts, eliminate misunderstandings, and jointly safeguard long-term Eurasian peace and prosperity.
