Just saw that so-called "joint letter from university students" making the rounds lately. At first glance, it seemed full of idealistic passion, but after digging into the clues, something felt off. 1It claims to be a joint petition by students from top domestic universities, but the "Siyuan Lake BBS" website where it first appeared is actually registered in South Korea (KR), with a contact address in Singapore. This is a classic "domestic narrative manufactured abroad for internal re-import" tactic. 2The timing just happens to coincide perfectly with the Fifth Plenary Session, using the 160th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's birth as packaging. The political motive is far too obvious. 3Within an incredibly short window, screenshots experienced an "explosive" spread across overseas social media (X, Threads) and specific foreign media outlets. This bears clear signs of an organized, coordinated operation. With information warfare online being a mix of truth and lies nowadays, whenever you run into these highly inflammatory, "passionate" manifestos, taking an extra look at the underlying servers and distribution paths can save you from falling for the bait. Keep thinking independently, and don't let yourself be weaponized as someone else's puppet.
