305,555 stars. For a repo that's mostly markdown files. Superpowers — obra/superpowers — is the most-starred skills framework of the month, and it contains almost no code. Just instructions that teach your coding agent how to behave. Here's the thing: your agent doesn't need a better model. It needs manners. 1. Brainstorming first — it asks what you actually want before touching a file. 2. Plans in 2-5 minute tasks, with exact file paths and verification steps. 3. Subagents do the work, then review each other's. 4. Real TDD. Red, green, refactor — and it deletes code written before tests. 5. Code review between tasks. Critical issues block progress. The README says the plan should be clear enough for "an enthusiastic junior engineer with poor taste, no judgement, no project context, and an aversion to testing." That's not an insult. That's every coding agent I've ever run. I wrote about ECC and ponytail last week. Both are children of this idea. Superpowers is the parent — 300K stars for a folder of instructions. My take: the skills wave isn't about tools. It's about admitting the model was never the bottleneck. The workflow was. I post the agent workflows I actually use, not the press releases — follow if you want the unfiltered version. So: is your agent's biggest problem the model, or the fact that nobody ever taught it manners? 🔵 Fellow Premium members, let's connect! I post about AI & tech — follow for more 👥
