@stoke_space could become a potential competitor to @RocketLab $RKLB Its current Nova Pathfinder is targeting its first orbital launch in early 2027. With a fully reusable design, it aims to deliver 2.5 tons to LEO — over 8x Electron’s payload capacity, but well below Neutron’s 13-ton target. The bigger threat is its Nova Block 2, targeting 15 tons to LEO with both stages reusable, with a first launch targeted for 2029. Another key difference: Stoke uses stainless steel for its rocket structure, while Rocket Lab uses carbon-fiber composites for Neutron. Composites offer weight advantages, but manufacturing large composite structures is time-consuming and technically challenging, as Neutron’s recent tank dome issues have shown. Stoke has yet to reach orbit, so execution remains the big question. Worth watching. $RKLB
