My son went to Switzerland when he was 23. He told me he had found a job at a pharmaceutical company and could finally earn a good salary. For seven years, he sent me 2,000 euros every month. Thanks to him, I paid off my mortgage and retired early. In the photos, he appeared skiing, dining at fancy restaurants, and driving cars I could never afford. He never wanted me to visit him. He said he traveled often for work. Last month he turned 30, and I decided to surprise him. I flew to Zurich and went straight to the address on the packages he had sent me. It was a modern building with offices and a huge reception desk. I showed them his photo and asked about him. The receptionist told me he didn't work there. I insisted that he had been working at that company for years. The woman checked the computer and then said to me: "Ma'am, your son comes here every night, but he is not an employee of any pharmaceutical company." After that, she explained to me what he actually did in that building.
