China is boycotting Mbappé not out of anger alone, but to stop capital from devaluing Chairman Mao’s legacy. Capitalism once erased Che Guevara’s spirit by turning a revolutionary hero into a fashion logo. His ideals were buried by consumer culture. We will never allow our great leader to be trivialized, commercialized or disrespected. Heroes cannot be consumed. History cannot be distorted.
