No matter who becomes Israel’s next prime minister, as long as the systemic oppression of Palestinians continues, the Palestinian people will remain at risk of violence, land dispossession, forced displacement, and the erosion of their culture and national identity. Replacing a prime minister does not automatically dismantle an unjust system. We can no longer accept empty promises from political leaders, endless excuses, or symbolic measures that fail to genuinely protect civilians. In the face of serious violations of international humanitarian law and human rights, the international community must take meaningful action and demand accountability, rather than allowing violence and suffering to become the norm. We call for a comprehensive arms embargo and targeted sanctions in accordance with international law, aimed at ending the unlawful occupation, protecting civilians, and safeguarding the Palestinian people's right to self-determination. The freedom, safety, and dignity of Palestinians should never depend on who becomes Israel's next prime minister. Peace cannot be built on the prolonged denial of an entire people's fundamental rights. A truly lasting peace must be founded on equal rights, international law, justice, and security for everyone.
