I let AI agents post to my X account every night. 17 of them. While I sleep. One bad run and my timeline fills with garbage — or worse, something I can't take back. So before any agent touches a live account, it passes this 5-point check. Steal it: 1. Read-only first. The agent reads everything, changes nothing. First pass is always a dry run. 2. Its own keys, not mine. Separate account, narrow scope, short-lived tokens. If it leaks, I rotate one key — not my life. 3. Show me the diff. No silent writes. Every change comes back as something I can read in 30 seconds before it goes out. 4. One kill switch, one rollback. Time-boxed run, hard stop on the second repeat failure, and I can undo the last action in one move. 5. Log everything where it can't edit. If I can't see what it did, it didn't happen. I learned #3 the hard way. An approved upload card once woke a dead task and reposted a duplicate while I slept. I caught it hours later. That's when #3 became non-negotiable. My rule now: if an agent can't pass all five, it stays in the sandbox. No exceptions, no "just this once." What's your #1? Or do you still hand agents your main keys and hope for the best? 🔵 Fellow Premium members, let's connect! I post about AI & tech — follow for more 👥
