Put your money in the bank? “Inflation will eventually eat away every last penny of your savings.” Buy gold? “Lab-grown gold is coming soon. Gold prices will eventually collapse just like diamonds.” Buy real estate? “The biggest real estate bubble in history is about to burst.” Buy stocks? “Global stock markets are heading for an epic crash.” Buy Bitcoin? “It’s a complete and utter scam.” Invest in yourself? “The economy is about to collapse. What’s the point of learning all that stuff?” Work harder to make more money? “The more you earn, the more taxes you pay.” Don’t invest at all? “Your money is losing value every single day.” So I think I’ve finally figured it out. No matter where you put your money, there’s always someone ready to give you a hundred reasons why you’re about to go bankrupt. SO WHAT THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH MY MONEY?! Am I supposed to stuff cash into my mattress, sleep hugging a pile of gold, and pray that the global economy doesn’t collapse before I wake up?! The most absurd part of being an adult is that making money is already hard enough. And somehow, figuring out how to KEEP the money you’ve worked so hard to earn has become an entire psychological battle.
