Heavenly Father God, merciful Lord, Today is #InternationalDayOfReligiousFreedom ✝️, and we bow our heads in prayer before You. We thank You, for You are the Sovereign of all nations, the faithful God, and the comfort and salvation of the oppressed. We pray especially for the churches that are oppressed in China. Lord, strengthen those brothers and sisters who worship You in house churches and underground gatherings. Grant them courage and wisdom to hold fast to their faith and proclaim the gospel amid persecution; Protect them from unjust detention, surveillance, and the harm of cross demolitions; bring comfort and release to the imprisoned pastors and believers; Let the fire of the gospel continue to burn on this land, unextinguished by human obstruction. Make the churches in China more united and holy in times of tribulation, becoming witnesses to Your glory. We also pray for the sinner Xi Jinping. Lord, Your word teaches us to pray for those who persecute us. Illuminate his heart, that he may recognize his own sin and shortcomings; Soften his hardened heart, that he may humble himself before You; cause him to cease the suppression of the church and religious freedom, and instead fear You and seek truth. Act according to Your mercy and justice, giving him the opportunity to hear the gospel, repent and turn to You, and obtain the hope of eternal life. If he refuses to repent, still exercise Your sovereign justice, protecting Your people. Lord, bring about religious freedom in China, that all may freely worship You and proclaim Your name. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done in China as it is in heaven. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏
