I’m planning to start a new series: China Through Its Journals. A lot of the best research on China’s economy, education and society is published in Chinese, in journals most people outside China have never heard of. I’m an economist at a Chinese university, and I read these journals for work. In each post, I’ll introduce one journal in English: what it covers, how much weight it carries in China, how to get the papers, and whether it shares data and code.
