My boyfriend and I have only been dating for about two months. He lives alone, while I still live with my parents. I've been to his place several times, and we're already close enough to know each other's door codes. Yesterday, my boyfriend told me he'd be getting off work late, so I decided to wait at his place and have dinner with him. I even picked up some fried chicken on the way. But when I got to his door, I noticed a pair of women's sneakers I'd never seen before. Something immediately felt off. My boyfriend lives alone. So why were there women's shoes outside his apartment? I went inside and checked the living room. Nobody was there. But his bedroom door was slightly open. I casually glanced inside, and I swear my heart almost stopped. There was a woman sleeping in his bed, wrapped up in a blanket. And she was wearing one of my boyfriend's favorite T-shirts. My mind went completely blank. My hands started shaking. We'd only been together for two months. Was he already cheating on me? I felt like I was about to faint. Furious, I stormed over, yanked the blanket off her, and shouted at the sleeping woman. "Hey! Who the hell are you?" "What are you doing in someone else's boyfriend's apartment?"
