Pi Network Latest Update: Developer Portal, BlockExplorer, SoloHost AI Packaging, and PiVerify Fully Upgraded On October 29, 2026, Pi Network released a series of technical updates for developers and ecosystem development. This update focuses on four main areas: developer portal interface optimization, BlockExplorer token price tracking, SoloHost AI application packaging, and expanded PiVerify authentication capabilities. The overall goal is to lower the development threshold, increase ecosystem transparency, and strengthen network infrastructure. I. Developer Portal Interface Upgrade Pi has redesigned its developer portal interface, making application configuration and management more intuitive. The original "Checklist" has been replaced with a dedicated App Configuration section, centralizing settings such as domain name, API key, application wallet, and privacy information in one place. Navigation has also been optimized, making it easier for developers to find key functions and resources such as Pi Sign-In, ecosystem listing, PiNet, and the Pi advertising network. This improvement helps developers more easily integrate Pi's authentication, payment, and ecosystem discovery features, preparing them for application launch and long-term management, and also serves the upcoming ecosystem summit. II. BlockExplorer Adds Launchpad Token Price Tracking Pi BlockExplorer now supports historical price tracking for Launchpad testnet tokens. Pioneers and developers can directly view the price trends of tokens like SLICE relative to Test-Pi. Future mainnet tokens will also be tracked in the same interface after their launch. This feature allows public viewing without logging into the Pi browser or account, improving the transparency of the ecosystem token mechanism and helping developers and the community better understand liquidity pools and price formation methods. Currently, these are still testnet tokens and will not be listed on the mainnet. III. SoloHost AI-Assisted Application Packaging Pi has added an AI skill to the public SoloHost GitHub repository, helping developers quickly prepare for application releases using AI programming assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. Previously, manual configuration files were required. Now, developers only need to provide an existing public Docker image of their application. The AI assistant will ask the application for the required functionality, automatically generate the necessary `docker-compose.yml` and `config_options.yml` files, and verify them. Developers can then publish the application through the SoloHost submission process. This significantly lowers the technical barrier to packaging existing applications into SoloHost, facilitating the entry of more self-hosted applications (especially local AI applications) into Pi Desktop and reaching over 420,000 Pi nodes. IV. Expanded PiVerify Authentication Capabilities PiVerify's authentication service for third-party enterprises has been further enhanced, adding face uniqueness checks and multiple liveness detection. • Face Uniqueness Check: Helps enterprises identify potential duplicate identities within their user base. • Multiple Liveness Detection: Allows for additional verification after the initial verification. These capabilities are based on Pi's existing KYC system, helping to more effectively prevent fake accounts, fraud, and abuse. Third-party companies using PiVerify and paying with Pi create additional use cases for Pi, while expanding the network for real-human authentication. In summary, this update addresses multiple dimensions, from tools and transparency to AI development efficiency and identity infrastructure, focusing on making it easier for developers to build and deploy applications on Pi, while also providing ordinary pioneers with a clearer understanding of the ecosystem's dynamics.
