🚨 Binance just revealed how $6.3 BILLION got out the door. It started with ONE laptop. 💻 Here’s the attack, step by step: 1️⃣ A Binance DevOps engineer’s laptop gets compromised (Binance’s initial findings) 2️⃣ Attacker reaches the internal system that sends withdrawals 3️⃣ Hot wallet “Binance 14” signs an EIP-7702 permission → hijacked 4️⃣ The wallet now runs the attacker’s malicious smart contract 5️⃣ 167,464 $ETH + 63 tokens leave in ONE transaction. Most funds gone in ~20 minutes 6️⃣ Loot split across new wallets, $USDT dumped into $ETH before it could be frozen 7️⃣ ~$3B frozen. Binance says it will cover ALL losses No private key was stolen.
