German Third Reich's accomplishments in the field of electronic and computation engineering are underrated. Zuse produced the world's first programmable digital computer, while the world's first electronic analog computer was also developed by Helmut Hölzer in 1941, who was later brought to US in Operation Paperclip. Manfred Von Ardennes also contributed a lot to the advancement of television technology. The 1936 Berlin Olympics was the first in history to be broadcasted using Ardennes's TV system. German Freya and Wurzburg radar were no later than the famous British chain home in late 1930s and more precise due to shorter wavelengths. Later in the war, FuG 220 equipped on night fighters could be immune to British aluminum jamming, and Mammut radar was the world's first phased array radar. The cavity magnetron was invented by Hans Hollman in 1935. The advanced radio navigation methods like Knickebein and X-Gerat allowed the Luftwaffe to build the first air force able to conduct precise night bombing in 1940, while British night bombing was far less effective without proper radio navigation at that time. The Kommandogerät used on FW190 allowed far easier control of the engine, acting as the prototype of modern automobile ECU. In the fields of Infrared, German devices like UHU and zielgerat were more certain to be regarded as the most advanced in the world. In a nutshell, German inventions shaped the modern world. It was only the defeat of Germany in 1945 that gave the title of "the world's center of invention and most technologically advanced country" to USA.
