Apple Intelligence finally has a China date, and the interesting part is not the date. Testing starts Nov 4 in the iOS developer beta, public in December with iOS 27.3, and Qwen sits inside Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence for the requests that need it. Users get asked permission before anything goes to Qwen, and Alibaba says those requests are not used for training. My read: Apple spent more than two years waiting for the regulatory green light, and the compromise is a local model doing the heavy lifting while the new Siri AI stays out of this batch. If the local model does the hard part and the new Siri stays home, is this still Apple Intelligence or a Qwen phone with an Apple badge? #AppleIntelligence #Qwen #AI https://9to5mac.com/2026/10/30/apple-confirms-ios-27-3-beta-is-coming-next-week-with-apple-intelligence-in-china/
