If we could have had a detailed biography of Jesus and reliable information about what kind of person he was as a human being, Christianity would most likely not have become a world religion. I am not suggesting that if we knew all this, Jesus would turn out to be a dishonest or untrustworthy person. What I mean is that if someone's personality traits are not very distinct, it is much easier for them to be transformed into a mythical figure. Myths are mostly built upon our own projections, and where all the facts are out in the open, imagination cannot flourish.
