After the age of 35, the differences in physical appearance between people of the same age often become strikingly apparent. Those who look significantly younger than their peers usually have two key advantages: First, they face little to no financial pressure and live comfortable, privileged lives. They rarely have to struggle to make ends meet or worry about basic necessities, and they have hardly experienced the harsh realities of society. With fewer worries and a more relaxed lifestyle, their bodies and appearance naturally tend to age more slowly. Second, their sense of self has never been suppressed in the workplace. When a person's pride, dignity, and spirit are allowed to flourish, they can maintain a youthful state of mind. Just look at certain high-ranking officials: while in power, they often appear energetic, confident, and full of authority. Yet once they retire and lose the power and confidence they once possessed, they may seem to age overnight, their hair turning gray and their entire demeanor becoming noticeably older. By contrast, people who have spent several years in the workforce often look older than their peers who are pursuing master's or doctoral degrees. Fundamentally, this is because they have been exposed to the pressures, hardships, and emotional toll of society much earlier. As long as a person's spirit remains unbroken and their sense of self refuses to surrender, they possess one of the most powerful ways to resist the passage of time.
