OpenAI is quietly closing the all-you-can-prompt era from two sides at once. From December, ChatGPT chat and Codex share one token pool for Plus and Pro, Instant chat aside. And a Nov 1 report says paid accounts are now capped per device and per payment card, with hit accounts unable to start new subscriptions on that device. I used to treat my subscription like a buffet. Lately I catch myself budgeting prompts the way I budget compute, saving the heavy runs for work that actually needs them. The vendors are not selling unlimited anymore. They are selling a meter, and the meter is the product now. #AI #OpenAI
