🌍 SECOND WORLD — Chapter 49: The Second Wave The world did not run out of resources. But getting them was no longer the same. Ninety days have passed since the first crisis. Roads have been repaired. Communities have adapted. Businesses have reopened. And life has continued. Until 8:00 AM. Across Second World, every public screen displays a new announcement. WAVE 02 — ACTIVE RESOURCE ACCESS SHIFT Certain resource acquisition methods and access conditions have changed. Existing inventories remain available. Changes may vary by resource type and location. OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE. No further instructions. No enemy appears. No buildings collapse. The world looks almost exactly as it did yesterday. But the consequences begin to emerge. In the Northern Highlands, Gaara and his AI companion Shukaku discover that mining efficiency has changed. Some deposits now require more effort to extract. Others have become easier to access. “This is going to ruin our forecasts!” Shukaku complains. Gaara calmly replies: “Only if we keep using the old assumptions.” In Western Valley, residents discover that certain timber materials now require additional processing. The wood hasn't disappeared. But repairing damaged homes may take longer. At Yellow Flash Express, Minato faces a different problem. The roads are open, yet some deliveries are delayed because suppliers cannot prepare their goods on time. “A delivery starts before the truck moves.” Meanwhile, Shikamaru receives reports from across New Dawn City. Mining problems. Construction delays. Changing food prices. Unverified energy reports. Each community faces a different situation. “Don't pretend it's one problem,” he tells his team. He refuses to recommend the same response for everyone before understanding what has actually changed. And then there's Naruto. 🍜 His ramen shop is still open. His ingredients are still available. But tomorrow's flour delivery costs more. “You can afford it for now,” Kurama explains. “But others may not be able to.” For the first time, Naruto begins thinking about how the same price increase can affect different businesses in very different ways. Elsewhere, the Ōtsutsuki observe the changing world. Their powers remain extraordinary. They could obtain certain materials more easily than ordinary players. But obtaining something is not the same as processing it, delivering it, trading it, or persuading someone to accept it. Urashiki notices something curious. “They're not asking who's strongest.” “They're asking who can deliver what they need.” Momoshiki watches the city in silence. Perhaps power is an advantage here. Perhaps it can become a service. Perhaps it can become a threat. Or perhaps its meaning depends entirely on how it is used. Meanwhile, Orochimaru begins comparing the new resource anomalies with his earlier observations of unfamiliar abilities. He has questions. And he may soon have a reason to approach the strange newcomers. As night falls, mines remain active, ports remain busy, and cities continue to shine. Some communities begin searching for alternatives. Others rely on existing supplies. Some consider trading. Others decide to wait for more information. No single strategy has been proven correct. And no one knows how the second wave will unfold. The resources are still there. But the paths to them have changed. And every choice now carries a different price. 🌍💙 #SecondWorld #NarutoAU #TheSecondWave #Gaara #Naruto #Otsutsuki #AIイラスト
