I used to skim a project's docs and README and feel safe if it read clean. Kingsbury's Jepsen note on ParticleDB 1.1.4 killed that habit for me. If an LLM can fake every signal of a mature project, polished prose, tidy examples, confident claims, then prose stops being evidence. I now trust the boring stuff instead. Test logs I can rerun, failure modes stated up front, version numbers that match the build in front of me. A project that shows me where it breaks earns more trust than one that only tells me it works. #AI #SoftwareEngineering
