US investment in information-processing equipment and software just hit a record 5.4% of GDP, above the Q4 2000 peak of 4.5%. The money is real. The question was never whether it gets spent, but who earns it back. For companies buying chips, renting power and borrowing to build, capex is a cost borne by shareholders until it shows up as revenue. The ones that own the stack end to end are the ones positioned to capture full value. That's the split the market started pricing last week.
